The gift of Sight

I need new glasses. I lost my old pair. I’m making an appointment with the optometrist tomorrow and I can’t wait. When you get a new pair of glasses there is this amazing moment that happens the first time you put them on. BOOM!!! YOU CAN SEE!! Everything is clear and crisp, it’s awesome. You also realize how bad your eyesight really was. It’s like getting new eyes.

If I could give you anything it would be new eyes. No, I would not give you glasses. I would give you the ability to see clearly. More precisely, the ability to see yourself clearly. To see yourself the way….

…God sees you, a woman of destiny, purpose and calling.

…the angels see you, the creation God loves and values most.

…the enemy of your soul sees you, more dangerous and more powerful than you could ever imagine.

…your future spouse will see you, the most beautiful thing he has ever looked at.

…Mommy and I see you, God’s gift.

…your sister sees you, the funniest person ever.

…your teachers see you, so very smart.

…your best friend sees you, effortlessly cool.

…your friend’s parents see you, a good friend.

…the hurting and less fortunate see you, caring and compassionate.

…the world sees you, the one that will change it.

I want you to have new eyes, because I know

IT'S NOT WHO YOU ARE THAT LIMITS YOU, IT'S WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE NOT.

I pray you have new eyes. I pray you see clearly.
