Lessons form the corn field : Get a Map

Every year some people in Helen, GA plant a seven acer corn field. I know that a big corn field is not very unusual , BUT WAIT, this corn field is planted in the shape of a maze. Here is a picture of this year's maze.

For a small fee you can try your luck at finding your way through the maze. The owners say the fastest time through was about 35 minutes. The longest time was abo
ut 3 hours. "What was your time", you ask? 42 minutes, baby!!!! It would have been faster if I would had my running shoes. Before you start calling my a liar, I will admit I had help.

You see at the start of the maze there is little card you can pick up. The card has a picture of the exact maze printed on it. All I did was take the picture, trace out my route with a pen and use it as my map. BOOM, 42 minutes later I was finished.

Along the way, I passed tons of people in the maze who didn't have a map. They were running around, as fast as they could trying to make it through.. Some people were having fun, others were frustrated and some were frightened, but they were all lost.

Life is like a maze. It twists and turns. It can be fun, frustrating and frightening. In life, just like in the corn maze, without a map it's easy to get lost. and just wounder.

God knows life is challenging that's why He gave us a map. The Bible --
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. -Psalm 119:105-- If you are feeling a little lost these days take some time and refer to the map of life.
